I like to give hints, but still keep them guessing. So, instead of saying, "Math" or "Operations with Integers," I write something like "Navigating Up and Down a Thermometer." And then, at math time, we hop up and down intervals on a chalk-drawn thermometer outside! I include standards and objectives in my lessons, so the agenda board is mostly for kids (and for tired teachers who forget what is happening next!)
I'm not sure which is worse, my printing or my photography... but I hope you can get the idea. Tomorrow is Wednesday. By lunch we'll be half-way to Friday!
I LOVE this! I've recently been thinking of adding an agenda to my board in addition to the daily schedule because the group I have this year really needs that structure. Seeing this just got my wheels spinning :)
ReplyDeleteOh Miss P. You made my day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment!

Wow...I'd like to walk into a class with so much good stuff to look forward to!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tara, for the happy thought!

These are a super cute idea! I think I need to make something like this to keep my thoughts in order :)! Thank you for the sweet comments and encouragement on my blog!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Casey:
ReplyDeleteThe kids see me checking all day (I think that's how they learned to look). Often they remind me (gently), "I think we are supposed to do word maps now..." etc. Love my mini-secretaries!
Happy day!
