I'm lucky enough to be able go walking at any time during the year. There are lots of hiking trails and walking paths within a few miles of my house. And the beach is a quick twenty minute drive away. I'm less of a fitness enthusiast and more of a people watcher, but when the scenery is this pretty, long walks are easily accomplished. My Christmas-present-Fitbit buzzed before the trek was over (and it took me several mental somersaults for me to figure out it that it was NOT my phone that was trying to get my attention!) It was a wonderful day!
So,
with that said, your southern California Blogger Friends are celebrating
YOU! We are having a Blog Hop to share the fun of being part of a
blogging community. And, since you're here, you are officially part of our
celebration!
There
are freebies at each stop and an Amazon gift card giveaway included! Our sweet
friend, Kristen from Easy Teaching Tools, has organized all of this. Do
you know her? She one of those people that make you feel like you've
made a new friend just minutes after you've met her! If you haven't ever
stopped by her blog, click here and say hello!
One of my favorite things about this annual hop is that each blogger offers a freebie. I love to collect them ALL. Better yet, I always seem find a way to use them all too!
I actually used this freebie in my classroom. My students were having a problem determining the PLACE in which a digit was located... as opposed to (and as well as!) the VALUE of a digit in a certain place. These cards provided a little practice to help make the concept clear.
Click on the graphic to take you to TpT to get your copy. I hope that this is something that you can use in your classroom too. And while I thought I thought those were snowflakes when I found them (from the super-cute KH Digi on TpT here), I think they are stars. So, you can use these cards whenever the place value component of your curriculum falls during the school year (even if it's not winter!)
Now for the fun part: You're ready to move on to the next top at the hop. Click on the graphic below to spend some time with Julia, the teacher that blogs at History from the Middle.
There are lots of exciting "stops" on your "hop" today! Just grab your coffee and follow the links, collecting freebies as you go. And don't forget to enter the rafflecopter drawing for a chance to win an Amazon gift card!
So, find your mittens and your favorite hat--or at least your sunglasses--and join in on the hop. Don't forget to wave if you see me along the way!
